'Night Of The Animated Dead' - Zombie Chat

Classic George A. Romero 1968 zombie fest - Night Of The Living Dead - gets an animated treatment from Warner Brothers Animation.

Cartoon zombies will completely shock and rock your horror loving world by revisiting Night Of The Living Dead in animation.

George A. Romero redefined our notions of horror and took the classic zombie concept and brought it into the modern science fiction landscape. Traditional creation myth and voodoo would be left far behind. A Venus probe leaked radiation would reanimate our dead into flesh eating ghouls. Released in 1968, and followed by several sequels, including Dawn of The Dead and Day Of The Dead, the movie remains a thrilling landmark in independent film production.

Director Romero didn’t have a big budget, nor access to epic filming locations, yet his movie still impresses us as a powerful and highly disturbing cinematic nightmare. Other zombie films may be riveting, but I’d submit NOTLD is still the scariest by far. It was excellently remade in 1990, directed by Tom Savini. Fans embraced the new color filmed retelling. Now, comes an animated version from Warner Brothers. C’mon my gruesome, groovy ghoulies. Let’s talk animated ghouls and remakes as those famous zombies become cartoon characters.
