Take Chucky from Child’s Play and Talking Tina from The Twilight Zone and their bouncing baby devil doll would probably end up being M3GAN. Don’t forget Annabelle of course, but she never did have much personality as the Chuckster or that yappy slap happy Zone gal.
We do have many other destructive dolls to celebrate. Full Moon Features produces a slew of movies with small devil dolls - the Puppet Master franchise. Here, M3GAN looms considerably larger in size, she’s much stronger and many factors smarter. Of course, ultimately, that does not maker her better or even more interesting. C’mon my dear doll devotees, let’s talk of the evil which comes in wood and plastic, and these days powered by memory chips.
