Halloween III: In Defense Of The One Without Michael Myers

Halloween III: Season Of The Witch may not have Michael Myers, but in many ways it delivers a far more memorable and haunting ride.

Oh where would we all be without the howling horrific Michael Myers? Certainly Laurie Strode would be far happier without having to deal with this crazed masked Shape. But us fans would be all but lost - right?

Well, maybe or maybe not. Go watch Halloween III: Season Of The Witch to find out.

This one doesn’t have a knife slashing psycho wearing a William Shatner Captain Kirk mask. There is no Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) and there is surely no Jamie Lee Curtis playing the ever screeching victim, Laurie.

What you will get is some truly disturbing moments and a keen, cultural observation about Halloween itself. All this and its villain - Conal Cochran played by Dan O’Herlihy - remains one of the most bloodthirsty, though fascinating evil men in all of horror film history. Bottom line: This one is about the kids and when the main psycho’s plan is fully revealed, it’s one nightmare you’ll never forget.

C’mon my Silver Shamrock lovers. Let’s put on our Halloween masks and watch that catchy TV ad…
