Closed Captioning, the audio translated text which appears on the bottom of a television screen or computer monitor, is a real ubiquitous force lately, The helpful tech seems to be everywhere. More cities require TV’s in public spaces - such as bars and restaurants - to always display closed captions for the viewing public.
And now it seems to be mandatory for most streamers even while watching at home. Every time you stream movies, TV shows, sports or news, CC is automatically turned on once you launch your app, no matter if you want it or not. Whether you’re using Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, Peacock, Amazon Prime or Paramount Plus, etc., you’ll most likely always encounter CC text once you stream your content.
