Captain Kathryn Janeway’s Voyager needed a cook for her lost in the Delta Quadrant starship. Janeway decided Neelix - not a Starfleet officer, human nor citizen of a Federation planet - would make a good choice to man the starship galley. Most of the time, Neelix whips up some creatively cool, cooked concoctions. Most of the time, Voyager’s crew likes their Captain’s choice of a chef.

Of course, nobody really has any kind of appetite for what Neelix tries to sneak into recipes - holographic fish. And so, inspection time….
