I Wrote For 'Deep Space Nine' - Star Trek Episode Script Questions
willstape.substack.com
After writing for Star Trek: The Next Generation, I wrote an episode for the Star Trek sequel or spin-off series, Deep Space Nine. My episode, Prophet Motive, focusing on Quark (Armin Shimerman) and The Grand Nagus(Wallace Shawn), appeared in the third season of DS9. This is a Ferengi centric tale, which greatly delighted me, since the big eared aliens were always among my featured favorites within Trek’s many exotic humanoid races.
Fans often ask me about the scripting process. What exactly does it entail? I’ve been urged to offer up development reflections on my TV writing experiences. In each video segment, I’ll try to focus on a particular creative writing or a series production topic.
I'll be answering many more questions in future videos - here's the first of the series.
