One of the main reasons I wanted to start this Substack and now produce a podcast for you guys is to share new, old and classic movies and TV shows with my subscribers. I want you to discover new things which may then become cherished classics for you.
This one is a really special movie in so many ways. Filmmaker Anna Biller wrote, produced and directed this gem - she even worked on the sets and costumes. It’s a complete work of art for her and I feel pretty confident most of you out there will be as intrigued and impressed with this film as I am. People praise films as groundbreaking or uniquely powerful, but with this production, it’s no exaggeration. It’s weird. It’s scary. It’s funny. It’s haunting. C’mon. Let’s talk about it.
