Celebrate A 'Star Trek' Thanksgiving

Space explorers who go galaxy hopping in Starfleet may work jobs in the distant future, but they still celebrate ancient Earth traditions such as our turkey obsessed Thanksgiving.

Turkey dinner with all the trimmings or dining on synthetic meatloaf from a high tech device? Decisions…

When you’re many light years from your home planet, settling on eating fake meat for a Holiday dinner may be your only option. For Captain Kirk’s (William Shatner) crew on his USS Enterprise, a powerful human gifted with alien powers does the deciding for them and promptly whips up some real turkeys.

The problem: the young man who’s the turkey feast founder is just a wee bit of a psychopath.

Would you eat a turkey from this man?

And so it goes at faster than light speed in Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s galactic universe of sci-fi, a well known, practiced and beloved tradition like Thanksgiving is acknowledged with a memorable twist, indeed. C’mon let’s talk turkey among the stars as turkey trek explores our friendly holiday of giving thanks.
