Vulcans & Romulans Are The Brits & Yanks Of The Star Trek Alien Universe
Star Trek Sci-Fi Gave Us Two Alien Races Who Mirror America & The United Kingdom
Space… Let’s See Who’s Out There… Or What’s Out There… Or What Race Is Out There….
Are you exploring an ever expanding cosmos and looking for a few good extraterrestrial men and women? No worries, space ace. Alien races in Star Trek are as numerous as the stars in the galaxy and beyond.
Klingons. Borg. Betazoids. Cardassians. Changelings. Vorta. Bajorans. Ferengi.
Oh, my!
Wait a minute! No Martians? No Venusian Women? At least maybe we’ll find that Reese’s Pieces eating E.T. hiding in there somewhere chowing down.
Two of the most popular aliens inhabiting Gene Roddenberry’s fantastic universe remain the Vulcans and Romulans. Introduced back in the classic original series with William Shatner as Captain Kirk, Leonard Nimoy gave us the first portrayal of a Vulcan or Vulcanian. Actor Mark Lenard portrayed the first onscreen Romulan.
Vulcans are a logical, highly emotionally controlled race, while the Romulans - once Vulcans themselves - are fiery, emotional and quite passionate. British and Americans? Brits and Yanks? There are definite more than a few parallels.

Ha ha! This gave me a chuckle. We Brits are nowhere near as staid as the Vulcans, but then you Yanks are nowhere near as awesome as the Romulans! 🤣
