'Star Wars' 1977 Rare First Print Screened At BFI Shows Han Shot First
Star Wars Fans Know Han Solo Shot Greedo First Before George Lucas 'Fixed' His First Film. Now A Rare Film Print Screened In Britain Confirms The Highly Debated Scene.
Star Wars in 1977 showed us Han shot first. Loyal fans know this about Han Solo and the bounty hunter, Greedo, as being undeniably true. Of course, later editions of the first far away galaxy installment - later renamed A New Hope - sought to rewrite sci-fi cinematic history.
Later, saga creator and director George Lucas changed the special edition of Star Wars to show bounty hunter Greedo shooting first. Now, a new rare first print has been screened at BFI - British Film Institute - introduced by Lucasfilm boss, Kathleen Kennedy. Fans can see all the original elements as they were celebrated in movie theaters before Lucas made his special edition changes. Harrison Ford playing Han Solo shooting Jabba The Hutt’s bounty hunter first is one of the most highly desired to see things put right again, as they were originally shown to audiences in movie theaters in 1977.
