'Star Trekkin' By The Firm Is Too Cool For School

The 1987 British Star Trek Tribute Song by The Firm Lives Long And Prospers
2

Trek you! Trek me! Trek yourself! Or ya gonna gosh darn wreck yourself!?

Space… The Final Frontier. Exploration. Aliens. Sexual fun. Mini-skirts. When all is said and done, it is really all about Star Trekkin Across The Universe, isn’t it? If you are a Trekker and don’t know the song, ya gotta become familiar with it.

In 1987, British novelty band, The Firm, released this catchy - though oh so irritating - tribute to the exploits of Captain Kirk, Spock Bones and the rest of the noble, even legendary Enterprise crew. C’mon. Let’s talk about one of the most famous Trek tribute songs of all time.

The UK Single Release Artwork

Enjoy the song’s original video - a little art project which employed stop motion, puppetry, stop motion animation and CGI.
