Born in 1966, and first broadcast on NBC, the now iconic series warped into massive global stardom, spinning off sequel series such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Animated shows, novels, video games, feature films and all manner of other worldly merchandise followed.
