'Star Trek: Section 31' Film On Paramount Plus Sadly Fails

Paramount + dropped an exclusive streaming Star Trek film. Production values are high, but it fails miserably.

Star Trek: Section 31 is streaming on Paramount +. This is the first television film made for the Star Trek franchise starring Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh reprising her role as Philipa Georgiou from the TV series, Star Trek: Discovery. Fans have been wondering about its production for a long while, now we finally see the results. First, it was to be a TV show, but producers retooled it into a one shot film.

Sadly, it’s not good news.

I wish I could report differently, however, the movie is a fail for me. It's a good looking production, with a real feature film quality, and boasts decent action, but in all other important ways, it is pretty wanting, even incredibly weak.
