Several Actors Who Guest Starred On The Various Star Trek TV Shows Took Their Own Lives Under Sad Circumstances
Star Trek features scores of celebrated actors starring in the hit show's various incarnations throughout the decades. Some now world famous guest stars such as Famke Janssen from X-Men - seen in The Next Generation - were showcased early on in their career. Terri Garr, on classic 1960’s Trek, is another famous face seen early on in the sci-fi franchise. It's great fun seeing familiar faces in the episodes we love to watch. Sadly, two of these well known actors from Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi show, committed suicide when they took their own life under sad circumstances.
Stanley Adams and Jon Paul Steuer - featured as guest stars on the original Star Trek with Captain Kirk and The Next Generation with Captain Picard - both committed suicide. Adams enjoyed an impressive film and TV career before selling Kirk's Enterprise crew Tribbles, in The Trouble With Tribbles, while Steuer acted as Worf’s son, Alexander Rozhenko, and later went on to star in the hit sitcom, Grace Under Fire.
