Is William Shatner Too Old To Play Captain Kirk Again?
William Shatner Created Captain Kirk As Much As Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry. Now, At 94, He May Return To The Iconic Role Which Made Him Famous
Space… The Final Frontier…
Captain Kirk and Star Trek. Perfect together. These two Hollywood icons travel side by side at a truly staggering sci-fi warp speed. And though we've had a few men play James T. Kirk over the decades, the original actor who fleshed out the Enterprise's Starfleet Commander first is still the fan favorite of them all, that beloved pop culture juggernaut, William Shatner.
And no matter who assumes the role in the far flung future, it’s a safe bet Bill Shatner will hold the impressive record for both quality and quantity regarding his signature role.
Recently, there's been concrete talk for a return of the OG Captain Kirk to the media landscape. Paramount has even approached William Shatner, who is now an incredible 94 years old, to star in as yet an unknown Star Trek project. Is Bill Shatner too old or still the best to bring back to Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi universe?
