'Dune' Patrick Stewart & Sting Movie Stories From David Lynch's 1984 Sci-Fi Film
Patrick Stewart Showed Up Bald At The David Lynch Movie Shoot And The Eraserhead Director Was Less Than Happy
Dune fans are loving the new sci-fi movies starring Timothée Chalamet playing the visionary hero, Paul Atreides. Before the new Denis Villeneuve treatment, back in 1984, we got a feature film version of author Frank Hebert’s novel from director David Lynch starring Patrick Stewart and Sting of the famed rock band, The Police.
In the 84 entry, Patrick Stewart, best known as Captain Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation, plays Gurney Halleck alongside Sting of The Police, who plays Feyd Rautha Harkonnen, the Baron's villainous nephew. Stewart has lots of wild stories about his time filming the science fiction movie and these tales are all truly hilarious.

Love the David Lynch Dune! Even the changes to the story to make it work in a film don't strike me as too egregious and oh the set designs and costumes! It just looks amazing. ❤
