In the late 1960's, these two young actors shared hit TV space and also personal time in their own private lives. On Batman, starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, Lee guest starred as Kato along with Van Williams as The Green Hornet.
Batman series fans know well there was more than a dark, even antagonistic streak to the crime fighting duos hailing from their respective crime fighting TV shows. But this was the clashing drama of comic book fiction friction. It wasn’t real.
Despite the obvious Hollywood fiction at play, for years, people thought Burt Ward and Bruce Lee didn't get along or were even enemies in real life. Turns out, the two young actors lived in the same apartment complex and were friends whose families dined together. Ward, a black belt himself, even sparred with the iconic Bruce Lee.
