Aside from all the epic space battles, strange new worlds and exotic alien races, Gene Roddenberry created a unique love letter to us sci-fi fans and the creator employed Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to celebrate as one of the first real TV, pop culture bromances.
